Health Kiosk in Indore

A Health ATM is a self-service screening station that captures vitals, body composition and selected blood, urine, cardiac and sensory parameters, then issues an instant colour-coded report and can route an abnormal result to a doctor on video. It screens and it flags. It is not a diagnostic laboratory.

Indore is the commercial capital of Madhya Pradesh and the regional healthcare destination for the western half of the state, which means it holds several distinct working populations inside one municipal boundary. A single template placement does not work across them. The manufacturing belt, the IT campuses, the wholesale markets and the student belt each need a different site, host and parameter mix.

Indore also has an advantage most cities its size do not: a municipal administration with a national reputation for delivering civic services consistently. Where a city government can be relied on to keep a public facility clean, powered and staffed, a civic-hosted kiosk in a ward office or community hall is realistic rather than optimistic. Pithampur, roughly 30 kilometres away in Dhar district but functionally part of the Indore industrial economy, is the largest single screening opportunity in the region. Its sectors run across automotive assembly and components, tyres, pharmaceuticals, engineering, chemicals and packaging, spread over Sectors 1, 2 and 3 and the special economic zone.

The workforce is shift-based, includes a large contract layer, and commutes daily from Indore, Rau, Mhow and the surrounding villages. Put the unit at the gate and screen at shift change; anything requiring a walk to an administrative block gets skipped. Engineering and tyre plants weight pulmonary function including PEF, FVC, FEV and FEV1/FVC, audiometry for high-noise areas, and vision. Pharmaceutical units, which already run occupational health programmes, tend to weight cardiac, diabetes and body composition and use the kiosk to raise coverage rather than to introduce screening.

The Sanwer Road industrial area, the Laxmibai Nagar estate and the older units along the Dewas Naka corridor hold food processing, soya and edible oil, plastics, printing, packaging and general engineering. Units here are smaller than Pithampur’s, with a lot of MSME activity.

The buyer that works in this belt is often shared rather than single. An industrial association or estate body hosting one unit reaches employers too small to fund their own occupational health room, with member units sending workers in batches.

The Super Corridor between the city and the airport carries the large IT and services campuses, new institutional buildings and a growing office population working to clients in other time zones. This is a lobby placement with 24-hour unattended access, because an employee finishing at 4 am will never attend a daytime clinic. Mental health screening including PHQ-9 and GAD-7, cardiac parameters and body composition are what facilities teams ask for.

Vijay Nagar, Scheme 54, Scheme 78 and the AB Road stretch hold corporate offices, banking, malls, hotels and organised retail. Corporate lobbies cover a fixed office population; malls cover both shoppers and the housekeeping, security and facility workforce that staff them, usually the least screened group on site.

Rajwada, Siyaganj, Sarafa, Marothia and the Chhawni market area are Indore’s wholesale and retail trading core: cloth, grain, dry fruit, hardware, medicine wholesale, jewellery and food. The population is self-employed traders, shop staff, loaders and hawkers, none of whom have an employer to arrange screening, and none of whom will lose a trading day for a checkup.

The realistic host is a trade association office, a market committee building, a large pharmacy or a bank branch serving the market. Access is the constraint: several of these lanes cannot take a delivery vehicle to the door, and where that is true the portable Box Clinic run as a rotating camp is the better format.

Khandwa Road carries Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya’s campuses and the run out to IIT Indore at Simrol, while Bhawarkuan, Geeta Bhawan and the surrounding lanes hold the coaching institutes, hostels and paying-guest accommodation that go with them.

Campus health centres use kiosks for entry-year baseline screening, hostel follow-up and staff annual checks. Vision, hearing, body composition, anaemia and mental health screening are the groups that matter, and for a hostel population living away from family, colour-coded reports delivered by WhatsApp are more likely to be read than a printed slip.

Palasia, MG Road, Race Course Road and the hospital concentration around them make Indore the referral destination for western Madhya Pradesh, drawing outpatients from Dhar, Khargone, Khandwa, Ujjain and Dewas.

Those outpatient queues are the highest-yield placement in the city. A patient waiting for a consultation completes a 10-minute screening and reaches the doctor with vitals, blood pressure, blood sugar, body composition and, where configured, ECG and lipid results already recorded. Hospital buyers should extend the same unit to their housekeeping, security and support staff.

Rau sits between the city and Pithampur and carries commuter and residential overflow. Mhow, further out, is a cantonment town with a defence establishment population and an attached civilian township. Cantonment and defence sites are a distinct procurement route with their own approval chain, and Clinics On Cloud’s named deployments include the Indian Army, the Indian Navy and the BSF.

Nipania, Bicholi Mardana, Bijalpur and the newer townships on the eastern and southern edges are apartment belts with clubhouses standing empty on weekday mornings. An RWA-funded kiosk there reaches elderly residents and homemakers, and societies usually fund it from the maintenance corpus.

Indicative Health ATM pricing starts from ₹6,00,000. What moves the figure is the specialty configuration, sessions per day and consumable usage, so an occupational configuration for a Pithampur plant and a wellness configuration for a Vijay Nagar office are quoted differently. Multi-site buyers are usually quoted per site tier.

Site requirements are modest: a covered indoor position, a standard power point, and no compulsory internet connection, because the kiosk runs offline and syncs later. That offline capability is what makes the rural blocks around Depalpur, Sanwer and Mhow tehsils workable for outreach camps. A prepared site is surveyed, delivered, commissioned and handed over within days, and AMC covers preventive visits, calibration, sensor checks, consumables and spares.
